Last night we had our last business session. This one went very well. For a church with diverse points of view we do seem to be of one mind on many issues. I think this comes from the fact that we all tend to have a commitment to justice. One of the speakers here reminded us when speaking about churches involvement in politics that “Justice is not a political idea it is a Theological idea.” I really like this. Not only do we have the privilege to comment on political issues, but when they are related to justice (as they always are) we have the NEED. If we as a church do not witness to the world about injustice then who will. This is true on the national and local church levels.

I will spend some time going over what has happened here with a direct eye to how it effects our local church.
